UK The
deputy head of the Metropolitan Police has launched an attack on political
correctness, saying that society cannot ignore the evidence that most muggers
are black.
But will he stay in his job for having said
so?
Hmm.
Not for long, I imagine.
And, while on this tricky subject, I do
receive emails occasionally from my black fans complaining that I am far too
quick to say that it is white, heterosexual males who are the most demonised in
western societies whereas, in fact, they argue, black men are just as hard done
by.
These are the three points that they generally
make.
1. Black men are very keen to oppose the
forces of feminism but they would get it in the neck both from their womenfolk and
from their black 'racial' activist friends. Their womenfolk would jeer at them
in much the same way that happens to white men who oppose feminism (e.g. you've
got a small penis, you're a wimp) and the racial activists point out to them
that feminists are their allies, and that by opposing feminism they would be
playing into the hands of whitey. In other words, there are many more forces
rallied against those black men who would like openly to oppose the feminists
than there are against white men.
2. When it comes to the interplay between the
genders, they argue, black men are far more at the mercy of their womenfolk than
are white men. This is partly because their womenfolk are doubly supported in
the scheme of things (they're women and they're black) and they
are also very much more empowered than their men because of their relatively
better education and/or because of their stronger grip on the family and its
resources - perhaps through welfare payments. This makes black men even more
redundant than white men when it comes to the family.
3. While it is true that the media and the
institutions do take steps to give black men a better deal than white men, the
truth is that in real life there is still a great deal of racism
that they have to face which white men do not.
And all of these points seem perfectly valid.
And so I might as well
respond to them!
1. Many black people are often causing far
more racism than they are curing. They are too often overplaying the race card
not only over big issues - like reparations for past slavery and affirmative
action - but also in real life - like accusing people of racism simply to gain
the upper hand in any dispute. Thus, it is often the activities and the societal
influences of racial activists that, in fact, eventually end up playing into the
hands of whitey!
2. Black men have been disempowered with
regard to their families to a large extent precisely because the state, in an
attempt to help black people, has often intervened financially - e.g. through
welfare - to support the women and children. This has definitely made black men
even more redundant in the eyes of their own families than are white men.
3. My short piece A
Thought on Racism (the piece above) explains why it is that white men are
not nearly as racist as black men perceive them to be.
It is also worth pointing out that quite a few
of these emails also suggest that political correctness is a good way of
dividing black men from white men, which plays right into the feminists' hands.
And, in my view, there is only one solution,
the destruction of both feminism and political correctness. In the case of
political correctness of the racial kind, and the policies that it engenders,
there was probably a time when it had value for black men, but I think that it
now causes far more harm to them than good. After all, if my arguments in A
Thought on Racism are valid - which they are! - then even a small increase
in the racism of whites towards blacks would be multiplied manyfold by the
differences in their relative population numbers.
In my humble opinion, the only way that one
can successfully reduce racism is to make race a complete non-issue. Political
correctness of the racial kind, however, just seems to end up highlighting it
all the time.
While it is true that feminists and political
correctoids are very much allies in their common quest to disempower white
males, I cannot quite see why black males cannot ditch their support for
feminists and start openly opposing them, thereby gaining more and more support
from white males without the need for political correctness of the racial kind.
And the multiplier effect - as mentioned in my
above piece - could cause even a small percentage drop in the racism of white
men to have a very large positive impact on the situation for
black men.
However, I could be showing my ignorance
here, because I really know precious little about race issues.
Nevertheless, I can definitely say this with
some certainty. Political correctness of the racial kind is causing far more
harm than good when it comes to race relations at ground level.
This may not have been true 15 years ago, but
it certainly seems to be so now.
Further, my black readers must remember that
in much the same way that men are now being empowered against feminism because
of the internet etc, the same is true for white men of the supremacist type.
Both of these groups have been silenced for much of the past three decades. But
they are now beginning to be heard. And so the effects of their activities could
be rather large.
So, perhaps, it is time for black men to
change the nature of their political alliances.
Perhaps they should see themselves more as
men, rather than as black!
Talking of which, ...
How Feminism Hurts Black People I wonder, has the wife or daughter of a well-paid white man been boosted by affirmative action into a well-paid job
- a job that might otherwise have gone to a poor but qualified black American.
